Heider Gonzalez is a passionate and innovative interior designer based in New York City, currently working on diverse projects that reflect their unique aesthetic and commitment to personalized experiences. Among his recent ventures are commercial redesigns for two restaurants in Miami and Mexico City. Heider’s design philosophy is embodied in the term "mélange," which captures the essence of blending various colors, patterns, and textures to create a harmonious and eclectic aesthetic.

Passion for interior design
One of Heider's most memorable projects was his first assignment after joining a boutique interior design firm in New York City. He had the privilege of transforming a two-story, one-bedroom apartment with an outdoor area crafting a bespoke design that balanced functionality with aesthetics tailored to his client’s lifestyle. The gratifying experience of seeing the client's joy upon completion reaffirmed Heider's passion for interior design.
The beginning
From a young age, Heider was captivated by design, influenced by his father's furniture company in Cali, Colombia. Initially involved in the business side, he discovered his love for design while helping to transform his family home. After moving to the United States, Heider pursued culinary studies, later working as a private chef for a luxury client, where small-scale design projects reignited his passion for interior design. This led to various roles within the industry, from visualizing furniture concepts to assisting clients in creating exquisite spaces.
Melange Interior Design Studio
Nearly seven years later, Heider's journey has culminated in the launch of his own boutique design firm, Melange Interior Design Studio, dedicated to crafting elegant, personalized spaces that resonate with individual style and taste. With a commitment to making exceptional design accessible, Heider continues to thrive in the world of interior design, turning visions into reality.
